This study aimed to identify the clinical management of pulmonary thromboembolism in literature. The methodology selected for carrying out this research is an integrative literature review study, where a survey data was carried scientific bases: LILACS and SCIELO. results showed that starts after diagnosis, initially, diagnosis confirmation condition treatment represent challenge physicians who need monitor suspicion perform tests timely manner. importance investigating patient's history considering risk factors embolism emphasized. Clinical must be performed hospital, response rates vary according size embolism, affected area, delay diagnosis. In main measures are provide oxygen, analgesics control pain, anticoagulants prevent existing clots from progressing new forming.
